Collage

Today's piece is a collage. Its called "Paper pseudo-woodland" 'cos I couldn't think of anything more descriptive for a newspaper and magazine-page collage. The aim was to do a "normal" woodland scene but I included some partially hidden images so that there's a red train in there, which could be crossing a wooded gorge, and a few travel adverts.

Lomond Falls (second version)

I've done a little more work at the base of this (see below) Removed a large dark rock which grabbed the eye and introduced some reflections into the pool. Acrylic 12"x16".

"From the Window" I used oil pastels and a blue gouache wash overlay.

"Bridge" Gouache 12"x16"


"Stalker Castle" Acrylic 16"x7" on board. This is how I think it looks through binoculars from the hillside a couple of miles to the south east. I have a photo I took a few years ago from the road below the hillside. Not as high up of course so I've moved the islands down a bit in this painting. Now the firs have grown taller its not so easy to see the castle from that bit of road.
