As artists we are always developing. I started this site some years ago to monitor my progress at art classes. Some areas have improved faster than others and I expect this to continue to be an interesting journey. Constructive comments are always welcome. Steve.

Loch Etive winter

Thought I ought to post at least one picture. This is an acrylic painting of a friend's boat 'The Pippin' on Loch Etive, with Ben Cruachan in the background.

Hello Steve,
I've been fooling with the Hello program and looking for interesting people to try and use it with. Somehow I came upon your photo blog and from there to this painting. The painting is quite nice and does not look like the work of someone, "taking classes"
My Grandfather was from Dundee and was quite a successful seascape painter in the USA.
I have followed him as an artist but my work is quite different from his.
You will find me on the web as Pan Wilson or panwilson but I tell you my real name is Bruce Wilson.

Hello Bruce
Thanks for your kind comments!
It may have helped that I enjoy sailing in that boat, which belongs to a friend and I sometimes get to 'drive' it!
Have you posted any of your own or your grandfather's paintings on a blog? It would be nice to see them! Steve.
